Howdy all,

Just a question which might be moronic,  but found no
way around it: I've been trying to run the TCP/IP Analyzer but the link seems dead, or for whatever reason it returns a blank page (using Netscape v6.0, Opera 7.01 and IE 6.0).

The link is

http://forums.speedguide.net:8117/

Any ideas on how to run the TCP/IP Analyzer tool?

Greetigs,

Sucesos

Hi Sucesos.. welcome to the DSLNuts Forum! ;D
I tested the link you listed and it worked fine for me (I use IE 6.0)
As for how to use it.. once you click on the link (if you can get it to work) it will display a listing of all your current set up.
You copy that (leave your IP# out. we usally xxxx it) to a thread in the CableNuts Forums.
That way we can look at what you have and make suggestions!

Hope this help... any further questions feel free to start a thread (post) in the Cablenut Forum.

But Thanks for the question on the Analzer link. Sometimes they may be to busy and you can't get the page. But keep trying.. it will work.
Another thing.. Make sure your firewall isn't blocking access. That link needs to read your PC settings.

Thanks Buggyman ... indeed, ZoneAlarm was the culprit! However, the test DOES NOT run on Opera 7.01 (regardless of the firewall thingie) even when identifying itself as IE.

As for the settings, the results are a bit confusing... esp. since my defaults have nothing to do with what TCP/IP Analyzer reported... I'm now posting on the corresponding forum.

Thanks for your help.

Copy and paste the link in your browser and then it should work.
