I just give TCP Optimizer a try and it goes better, but do not know if there is an max to it because TCP Optimizer can only be used till 20Mb. So may be I need to double these settings?

After TCP Optimizer I get following results:

The tcp test is not a speed test but simply reports some hard coded settings on your computer.

Cablenut is looking for some settings from you while the other uses some pre-determined numbers.

Do some speed tests and report back...

Thanx for reply.

First I need to say that the change of the website looks great!!! My compliments.

1. A question: I read somewhere if the download speed is as same as upload the setting of DefaultSendWindow can be the same as DefaultReceiveWindow?

2. I saved the settings from mccoffee into registry, saved the setting as a ccs file as well and rebooted my PC.

3. And as chpalmer asked, I did some speedtests after point 2. And here are the results:

The info is as following Try; Ms; Downspeed; Upspeed (as the image shows you) and the action which I take in between of the tests. I thought may be they are in any influence of the tests. I used the tests from speedtest.net At the end I give an average; Max and minimal.

  • Try   Ms   Down/kbs   Up/kbs
Start Cablenut, install setting to registery (saved setting), reboot PC
    1   10   19959   1494

Hopefully this give more info. So far I can not see from speedtest there are any positive changes?! Looking forward to your reply. Thanx in advance.

For a test I just rebooted my PC, turned of Firewall (PC tools v5.0.0.36) and Antivirus program (Antivir Premium) and started speedtest. To see there any diffs of those are not interrupting the speed of  my fiber  line.

And if I see the results, I can only cry. These are not results I want see with a fiber connection of 50 Mb (advertised) up and down speed!!!?

Are you running xp x64 by any chance?     The reason i"m asking is maybe compound tcp might work better for you.

Are you sure that line isn't a shared line?  Also ar eyou using a router ?
