I have been having some serious problems with my connection with Comcast. There are issues with latency spikes and packet loss. I have talked to Comcast numerous times, and they can't seam to locate an issue. However, everyone else that has took the time to actually look into the problem agrees there are definatly some serious problems. As a last resort I contacted Netgear. They walked me throught configuring the router properly. I told them that I use the connection for browsing the internet and the xbox 360 for xbox live. They advised me to set the MTU to 1364. I thought they were out of their mind so I didn't do it. Now as a last resort I am gonna give it a whirl. Is there any down side to using a smaller MTU? Also, I have absolutely no clue what settings to use with an MTU of 1364. Can someone give me a hand?
Thanks,
Rocky

Cant hurt to try...   You can always go back to what you have now. Just save your profile and then apply the new settings...

I'm using the T3 settings w/ Windows XP in Cablenut with my AT&T high speed Internet service. The speed is 6 Mbps. Is this the best setting for me to use?

I am looking for cablenut tweaks for Comcast's blast tier. This tier has speeds of 16mb/2mb, or 20mb/4mb with powerboost. I have been looking around for some tweaks for this tier level. I see there are some post here for only the performance tier. I like cablenut over TCP Optimizer due to the fact you can tweak more perameters etc. I am using TCP Optimizer now. Will I have to remove my settings from it before applying the cablenut settings? Thanks in advance fellas.
